Hurricane Irma and Maria have devastated Puerto Rico and its citizens. As of mid-october, 86% of electricity customers on the island were still without power. Without electricity, clean water sources are scarce, and drinking from contaminated streams is a serious public health issue. In efforts to raise awareness and money to help the citizens of Puerto Rico, please join the Undergraduate Public Health Coalition's International Health Committee and DICE for a free documentary screening of "Thirst": a film about water as a natural resource and a source of conflict. Filmmakers Alan Snitow and Deborah Kaufman will be attending and will stay after for questions. Admission and snacks are free. DICE(Diversity, Inclusion, Community, Equity) will be selling shirts, keychains, and earrings with 100% of the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity of Puerto Rico and Generosity.com's Light and Hope for Puerto Rico Citizen Campaign or are open to suggestions of organizations to donate to!
